Graduate Research Assistants

Azamat Mukhatov

Azamat Mukhatov received his Bachelor and Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Nazarbayev University, Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan in 2017 and 2019, respectively.

While pursuing his Master’s degree, he worked on project titled “Dynamic Wireless Charging of Electric Vehicles” as Research Assistant under supervision of Prof. Bagheri at National Laboratory Astana, Nur-Sultan.

Currently, he is Research Assistant in Power Conversion and Motion Control laboratory under supervision of Prof. Ton Duc Do.

His research interests include renewable energy conversion systems, power electronics and wireless charging.

Yussuf Shakhin

YUSSUF SHAKHIN received the B.S. degree in Electronics and Nanoelectronics Engineering in 2021 from Ala-Too International University, Kyrgyzstan. Afterwards, he obtained his M.S. degree in Robotics in 2023 from Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. degree within the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics at the same institution. Since 2021, he has been with the Power Conversion and Motion Control (PMCM) Laboratory for Motion Control Systems. Additionally, from 2022 to 2023, he was Research Assistant in the Smart Energy Lab for Wireless Power Transfer Systems at the School of Engineering and Digital Sciences, Nazarbayev University.

His current research focuses on the control of electric machine drives employed in electric vehicles

YUSSUF SHAKHIN received the B.S. degree in Electronics and Nanoelectronics Engineering in 2021 from Ala-Too International University, Kyrgyzstan. Kulash Talapiden

Kulash Talapiden received her BS degree in Technological Machinery and Equipment in Kazakh Agrotechnical University after S.Seifullin in 2020, Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. Currently, she is a 1st year MSc student in Robotics, School of Engineering and Digital Sciences of Nazarbayev University, Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. She is working on her thesis project under supervision of Dr. Ton Duc Do.

Her research interests include control systems and motors design.

Kulash Talapiden received her BS degree in Technological Machinery and Equipment in Kazakh Agrotechnical University after S.Seifullin in 2020, Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. Currently, she is a 1st year MSc student in Robotics, School of Engineering and Digital Sciences of Nazarbayev University, Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. She is working on her thesis project under supervision of Dr. Ton Duc Do.

Tin Trung Chau

Tin Trung Chau received his B.S. degree in Automation and Control Engineering Technology in 2020, and his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2022 from the Vinh Long University of Technology Education. He started his doctoral studies at Nazarbayev University in August 2023—currently, he is a Ph.D student under the supervision of Prof. Ton Duc Do. His research interests include observations and control algorithms.

Tin Trung Chau received his B.S. degree in Automation and Control Engineering Technology in 2020, and his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2022 from the Vinh Long University of Technology Education. He started his doctoral studies at Nazarbayev University in August 2023—currently, he is a Ph.D student under the supervision of Prof. Ton Duc Do. His research interests include observations and control algorithms.

Aizaz Ali Khan

Aizaz Ali Khan completed his undergraduate studies in Electrical Power engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar, Pakistan. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Robotics Engineering at Nazarbayev University in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. His primary research interests are Electrical Motor Control, Machine Vision, and Digital Twin technologies.
